DIY Chalkboard Vase

So at work I usually alwayssssss have something to spruce up the place. It is usually just little paper crafts that I print out from Family Fun and they are usually for the next holiday coming up. But unfortunately there isn't really a holiday coming up for awhile. So when I saw this little number on Pinterest I knew it would be perf for the office! Yay! So here you go:

Supplies used:
Vase (from wal-mart for like $2)
Flowers (fake from Michaels for about $2)
Chalkboard Spray Paint (Wal-mart for $3)
Styrofoam block ($2 from Michaels)
Beads ($3 from Michaels although you don't really need these since you can't see into the vase)
Chalk ($1 from Michaels)

Spray one thin coat onto the vase. Don't do one whole spray at one time, break it up into about 3 or 4 sections and spray like that.

Wait for it to dry then add another coat. After adding two horizontal coats add a vertical coat.

Wait 24 hours then rub the side of the chalk on the whole thing.

Then rub it off with a chalk board eraser.

Testing it out!

The flowers in it! :) I can't wait to take it to work! :)

All together it costs be about $13. You don't really need the little rocks/beads so that will save you $3. Try it out yourself! Thank you for reading! :) I hope you are having a great week!
