Breaking Up...

Is hard to do.
It's even harder when you are the one being broken up with.
So how do you deal with it?

Do you...

Sit and think about it non-stop.
Putting yourself through misery because all you do is think about where you went wrong.

Scream and cry.
And maybe tear some things up.
Break some things.
Throw a lot of shit away.
Burn shit.
What ever.

Stalk them on Facebook, Twitter, or whatever other social media site they are on.
Constantly checking their pictures, their status updates, their check ins.
Anything to let you know what they have been doing.
Because you really need to know all of this.

Text him.
Call him.
Call his friends.
Or better yet, call his mom.
Anything to just hear his voice one more time...

If you are doing any of the above ... STOP.
What you need to do is...

Delete all contact you have with them.
Delete their number.
Delete them off of Facebook, Twitter, etc.
You are only making it worse for yourself.
Pick yourself up, go out with your friends, and forget about them.
The truth hurts, but obviously, if they broke up with you ... they don't want you.
So do yourself a favor and move on.
Trust me ... it will be better.

All so true. People just don't get that and it just makes things harder for them longer.

Soooo you know sometimes when someone says something you REALLY DON'T WANT to hear? But you know you need to...totally what I just experience with your post. I couldn't stop reading- it was a hard read... especially the end but I'm so glad I did. I feel like you were talking just to me. Thanks for giving me the 'slap in the face' type wake up call that I needed. :)

Love this. Totally true...but you know when you are in the middle of it and it is actually happening to you, all logical thought leaves you and you just do these crazy things. To be very honest, I've called and texted after I broke up with my BF and you are right, it just prolongs the grief. It is just so hard to walk away, but you know, we gotta think that its the best thing for us in the long run. :) GREAT post!!

Yes, the more you dwell over it the harder it is to get over!
