Dream Jobs and Findings and Weekends, oh my!

It's Friday!
Which means weekend time!
Oh hush up Dwight.

First off were going to talk about 30 Things.
Today's topic?
My dream job.
Ohhhh goodness, let me tell you.
To be famous.
To have everyone know my name.
And to bathe in money.
Kidding .... kind of.
I think it would be amazeballs to have Erin Andrews job.
Or to be a host on The Today Show.
I mean who wouldn't want Joe Manganiello to body roll on you.
Or Channing Tatum to do a dance right in front of you.
Yeah dream job, right there.

Now on to Friday Findings!
This week has been kind of boring.

This looks so amazingly yummy!

I found it on this website!

Want a way to spruce up your bobby pins? This is an adorable idea!
I would probably go over them with clear polish as well.

This ring?
Um, gorgeous.
I love the infinity symbol.

Anyways, I hope you all have a great weekend!
Any plans?
Thanks for reading! :)

Doing Some Reflecting...

Hello!
Happy Thursday!
One more day and it is the weekend!
I think I've already used this picture.
Whatever.
Do you have any big plans for this weekend?
I am going to see the new Batman movie.
I hate superhero movies.
Don't ask my why, I just do.
So why am I paying $15 to go see one?
I don't know the answer to that either.
Blah.

Anyways, for today's 30 Things I am supposed to tell you about the hardest thing I have experienced.
So the hardest thing I have had to go through would probably be loosing my Grandpa when I was in 8th grade. It was really tough. He would always give me a dollar, and tell me not to tell my Grandma :). He was really sick by the end though and it was a blessing that he didn't have to suffer anymore.
A few years later my family suffered another loss. It was the loss of my sweet baby cousin. I was never able to meet him but I know he had an impact on my entire family. It was hard watching his parents go through that, and I prayed everyday that the Lord would help them through it.
One last thing that was really hard was when I found out my best friend's mom had breast cancer. I don't think I had ever been so scared in my entire life. I cried, she cried, we all cried. It was really hard. But she is a trooper and pulled through it like we all knew she would.

I wouldn't say that my life has been hard by any means. I know people who have to experience loosing loved ones time and time again. But these struggles that we all face help to make us who we are. They are there to make us stronger. Loosing someone you love or dealing with a sickness sucks, and you may ask why me, but one of my life's mottos is that everything happens for a reason, even if it is a sucky reason.

5 Things That Make Me Happy Right Now!

Hello and happy Tuesday!
I hope your Monday went great!
This past weekend was a lot of fun.
I got to go to the truck and tractor pulls for the first time on Saturday night and I have to admit, I kind of enjoyed them. :) The trucks were more fun to watch than the tractors but that's just me.
Sunday I got to lay around the pool all day and celebrate my sister's birthday.
It was a relaxing weekend all together.
No pictures though. Sorry!

Onto 30 Things!
Today's topic is 5 things that make me happy right now.

The first one would definitely be my family. Not only my mom, dad, and sisters but also my aunts, uncles, and cousins. I love being around them. And knowing that they will always have my best interest at heart is awesome.

Both of these were taken by my cousin Courtney

The second thing that makes me happy is my dog Tatum. I love going over to my parents house and taking a nap on the couch with him (naps make me happy too :)). He may not be the smartest dog (he doesn't know come, he barely knows sit, and he occasionally runs into the couch when he tries to jump on it) and he may be quite lazy (which could be my fault) but I would not trade him for the world.
His birthday :)

Another thing that makes me extremely happy is the fact that it is summer. I love summer. Actually I love fall more, and maybe spring, or winter. Heck, I love all seasons for different reasons (I totally did not mean to rhyme). But I love being able to just relax by a pool in the sun all day. I also love not being in classes. Last summer I had two weeks of actual summer vacation, this summer I get a whole month and a half. :)

Having a job makes me happy. I love that I have two jobs. I may complain about them a time or two but I am so grateful to have them. So many people are without a job and so I am glad to be able to have two great jobs. I also love that they are student worker jobs because I have every weekend off. What makes me really happy is the fact that I have met some amazing people through these jobs and developed some great friendships from them.
The last thing that makes me happy right now are my friends. I have a close group of friends that I have had since high school and I wouldn't trade them for the world. They may make fun of me, pick on me, and give me an occasional headache/bruise but I do enjoy being around them. We are always laughing and we tend to have a great time when we get together.
 Back in high school
 Today

I am also grateful and happy everyday for everything that God has given me. The people he has blessed me with and the lessons he has taught me. I wouldn't trade my life for the world.

What makes you happy?

Thanks for reading! :)

To Myself at 16!

Hello and happy Monday!
Okay maybe not so happy.
But just think, in four days we can celebrate the weekend again. :)
That's one way to look at it...

Anyway, today is day four of 30 Things
I am having so much fun with this! :)
Todays topic is 10 things you would tell yourself at 16.
I'm changing it to myself in high school because that is much easier.

1. I am taking this one from T. Swift.

2. Try hard in school. You may not think these years matter but come senior year you are going to wish you had actually put some effort into these first two years.

3. The granny mobile you are driving isn't so bad. Just be glad you have a car to drive.

4. Mom and Dad actually do know what's best for you.

5. That boy you think you like? Sorry, but he doesn't actually like you. So stop talking to him.

6. That heartache you feel because some boy decided he wanted to be with another girl? It will get better, I promise. You will meet way better boys and they will show you how you are really supposed to be treated. Do not go and do stupid stuff just because you feel some pain.

7. Treasure your friends and the memories you are making. There are some people who will stay true to you and continue to be your best friends through life, hang on to them.

8. All that mean stuff people are saying about you? Do not let it get to you. They are just immature and rude. They don't really know what they are talking about. The mean girls will mean nothing as soon as you step out of those doors senior year.

9. Your sisters are actually pretty darn cool. Stop being so mean to them.

10. Remember to stay true to yourself. It can get rough and peer pressure sucks but in the end the only person who matters is you and your happiness.

If only I could go back in time and shake myself.
I cannot imagine what I put my parents through at different times during high school.
Sorry Mom and Dad.
Anyways, thanks for reading! :)

My Relationship With My Parents!

It's Saturdayyyy!!!!
It is also my little sister's birthday.
Happy birthday Amy!
I cannot believe you are 15.
In just a few short months I will be able to help you learn how to drive.
That is one scary thought, let me tell you peeps.
She is growing into a beautiful young lady and I am proud to call her my sister.

Okay, moving on.

For the third day of 30 Things the question/statement is describe your relationship with your parents.

I'd like to think that my relationship with both of my parents is pretty strong and has been for awhile. For a little bit in high school it was rocky, but I think you get that with any moody teenager :). But for the past few years it has been a pretty strong, solid relationship.

My dad and I can talk non stop about the St. Louis Cardinals. It's where I get my love for them from. He is always there when I need help. He is the one I call when I think something is wrong with my car, or if I hear something about the St. Louis Cardinals.

My mother is like my best friend. I tell her pretty much everything. She is the one I call about all my celebrity obsessions. She is the one I tell about my boy problems/boy news. I do not go a day without talking to her, and if I do she'll call me the next day and ask me if I am okay.

My mom and dad have always been there for me. No matter what. Even when I make stupid mistakes that get me into trouble. They stand by my side through all my decisions and I am so glad I can call them my parents.

My 3 fears...

It's Friday!
It is also Friday the 13th.
Horrayyy for the weekend!
It is day two of the 30 Things post.

Today is a little hard for me because it is describe 3 legitimate fears you have and explain how they became fears. I don't know how to explain "legitimate" fears. I mean I am horribly afraid of frogs but is that really legitimate? I don't think so. I am also afraid of any other reptile like snakes, turtles, and lizards but I don't think those are really "legitimate" either. I also fear that a killer is going to like sneak in my room at night, or the middle of the day when I am home by myself. But once again, legitimate? Probably not.

I do fear loosing someone I love. I feel like everyone has that fear but it's like hard core with me. I am really close with everyone in my family so the thought of loosing one of them is really scary. I am not quite sure how I got it, it's always been there.

Okay, so because that was a wee little short I am going to do another Friday Findings :)

This little collage of pictures may have just made me fall in love with the color purple for a wedding. It's gorgeous.

This just makes me love the St. Louis Cardinals even more.
The top left is the whole team.
Top right is David Freese and Lance Berkman.
Bottom left is Matt Holliday and David Freese.
Bottom right is David Freese and Matt Carpenter.
Gah, I just love these guys :)

It seems that this trio is no longer going to exist.
Steven Tyler has announced he is leaving American Idol.
Jennifer Lopez has decided it is time for her to go.
Can Randy Jackson not find any other job?
That man has been here since the beginning!
Here's to hoping they find some cool people.
Me, maybe? :)

Well, that is all for today.
I hope you have a great weekend!
Tomorrow is my little sister's birthday. She is growing up.
Thanks for reading! :)

20 Random Facts!

Hello!
Today is the first day of 30 Things
And it's Thursday!
Which means one more day and it is the weekend! :)

My 20 Random Facts:
1. One of my biggest dreams is to go scuba diving off the Great Barrier Reef

2. I always have to have my fingernails and toenails done. I usually do them myself but regardless of how it happens, they must be done. It just bugs me if they aren't.

3. I have set myself back a year in school by changing my degree but it's perfectly fine because I'd rather be doing something I love than something that makes me miserable.

4. I have really small feet. Like size 6.

5. My favorite type of clothing to wear is t-shirts and sweat pants, with no make-up. It's just better that way.

6. I am terrified of frogs. All reptiles actually, but frogs are the worst. I mean just look at them. Seriously.

7. I have recently become obsessed with shoes. In the last 2 months I went from having about 4 pairs of different shoes to having about 15 different kinds. It's bad folks, real bad.

8. I have a slight obsession with celebrities. Not in a creepy way, but in a I enjoy keeping up with them kind of way. I tend to call my mom whenever I hear something exciting. Usually it goes "Mom guess who's getting a divorce/having a baby" "Who?!" "Insert celebrity name here" "Becca, I thought it was someone important"

9. I've been told that when I was little I had adorable curly blonde hair. Then my mom chopped it off and ever since it's been an ugly brown frizz mess. My obsession with dying it could have something to do with that....

10. I love, love, love country music. Nothing beats it.

11. I love taking naps. There is nothing better than a good nap in the middle of the day. It must, however, be done on the couch, not the bed. The bed is for sleeping at night, the couch is for napping during the day. :)

12. I enjoy taking pictures. And yes, I am one of those Instagram people. It's a great app .. you should download it. Oh, and follow me on it @bgranddier.

13. I love all things wedding. I love love actually. It's adorable. I actually have my wedding planned out here. Now to find me a groom... :)

14. I love make-up. I love doing my own make-up. I cannot, however, do someone else's make-up. I have tried, and failed.

15. My favorite TV show is One Tree Hill. Right up there with it is Vampire Diaries, How I Met Your Mother, The Office, Pretty Little Liars and Melissa and Joey.

16. Not only would I love to become a teacher, but I also want to become an advocate against bullying. It is mean, and hateful, and it can really affect someone's life and how the look at themselves. It just needs to be stopped.

17. I love just being able to lay out under the stars and watch the sky. It's beautiful and relaxing.

18. I prefer talking on the phone over texting. Especially when I need to know something fast.

19. Social media is my guilty pleasure. I am always checking my facebook, twitter, instagram, and blog :)

20. It was super hard to come up with those 19 facts about myself. Like really freaking hard.

So there you have it! 20 (19) facts :)
You should do it to!
Let me know if you do, I would love to read about you! :)
